About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for a federal contract opportunity involving fuel tank evacuation services at USCG Sector Humboldt Bay. The project requires removal and recycling of contaminated Jet A fuel from two 10,000-gallon aboveground storage tanks (ASTs). The scope of work is limited exclusively to fuel removal and disposal, with no tank cleaning, sludge removal, or tank decommissioning required. The tanks will remain in place following fuel evacuation.
Technical specifications indicate that suction lines must be attached using a standard 2-inch hose single point refueling nozzle (NIIN: 013858946). Supporting documentation provided includes photographs of tank connections, containment areas, and vacuum truck staging locations (contained in the attached "USCG Sector Humboldt Bay Fuel Tanks" document), as well as the Safety Data Sheet for GSE-08 Jet A fuel. This Questions and Answers document serves as clarification material for prospective contractors and does not establish contract requirements, pricing terms, award dates, or other binding contractual provisions.
