Request for Quote 70Z02319QPA107300 CCTV Upgrade clarifications and answers to questions:
Clarifications:
Clarification 1: The building management company will not approve any conduit runs visible from street view. Conduit can be run on the roof out of site or on the top of building protrusions but shall be kept to the minimum amount required.
Clarification 2: Roof penetrations are allowed but must be at or near the camera location. The cable runs are to be inside of the false overhead and not topside run externally in conduit.
The Coast Guard had previously misunderstood to think conduit was allowed and roof penetration was not.
Clarification 3: The original system was contracted by the Federal Protective Services. At the time, their policy was to handle all GSA leased building security systems. Their policy has changed and they now only oversee FPS building installations.
