About this file

This file contains vendor questions and responses for a Request for Quote (RFQ) by the US Secret Service for mobile office and storage container rentals in West Palm Beach, Florida. The solicitation covers two areas: Area 1 for a yearly rental of a mobile office trailer (8'x20') and Area 2 for a seasonal rental of a storage container (8'x20'), with a base year from June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026 and three option years extending through May 31, 2029. The contract will be a firm-fixed price for 12 months per year, with the seasonal rental anticipated to run from October to May in each contract period. Key clarifications include confirmation that the mobile office must be ground level, the quantity refers to rental months rather than number of units, and a power source will be provided on-site. The government has revised the solicitation to separate service calls and repairs, acknowledging that repair costs will be funded as needed and may vary.

Vendor Questions

1. In the SOW for the mobile office, it says that it has to be "Ground Level". This usually means that this is an office container and not an office trailer. The office trailer is usually on a chassis and not capable of being ground level, but the office container is always ground level. Can you please confirm the requirement?

If it is an office container, that is acceptable if it meets the requirements.

2. When it says quantity, is this saying that the bid is requesting 12 office units and 8 storage units?

The quantity in section 1.4 refers to the number of months the agency would be renting the units. The SOW has been revised to reflect months in the table.

3. In the General Information section, you state that the place of performance will be West

Palm Beach. Later in section 1.5.1 you state that there is a Site 1 and a Site 2. Are both sites in West Palm Beach? Do both Site 1 and Site 2 require the office unit and the storage container?

“Site” has been changed to “Area”. Both areas are in West Palm Beach, FL. In Section 1.3, it states the need for each area.

4. In section 1.4.1 Pricing, you have a column that states Unit Price. Is this to be the monthly price for a single unit at each site and not the total unit count for both sites? Is the Quantity column the individual months that the unit is to be on site to reach an annual total rate?

The Unit Price is the price per month for each unit. Total= Quantity x Unit Price

5. The RFQ mentions two sites—Site 1 (Yearly Rental) and Site 2 (Seasonal Rental). Could you please confirm whether this means there will be two separate physical locations, each requiring its own office trailer and storage container, or if the request is for one office and one storage container total, used at different times?

“Site” has been changed to “Area”. In Section 1.3, it states what the requirements are for each area.

6. Will electrical power be provided by others on-site, or should we include a generator or alternate power solution in our quote?

There is a power source that each unit will be connected to.

7. I need clarification on the amount of containers you're requesting. In the description, it says 1 each, but in the billing line item it has a quantity of 12 for the Mobile office trailer and 8 for the storage container. Does this represent 1 container for a 12 and 8 month rental or is this 12 and 8 containers? Also, there's a line item for calls/repairs but the repair price could fluctuate depending on the repair that's required if it's not covered by our company. The better way to price this is to provide a service call price, and then a Work order for the item that needs fixed.
