Currently the building return air is via plenum. New return air ductwork shall be installed in this project. The new structure will be cooled via air handling equipment located in the first floor mechanical room and on the roof. Both systems utilize the campus chilled water loop. Heating will be provided by a high-efficient natural gas boiler.
The electrical shall consist of normal power, lighting, emergency and exit lighting, telecommunications for alarm systems, lightning protection and access controls. Interior lighting shall be predominately LED fixtures.
The work shall be performed in three phases. The first phase shall be the exterior electrical work to include relocating existing transformer and primary electrical circuitry. The Government reserves the right to suspend work activities initiated without approved submittals. As a minimum, Government approval is required for extensions of design, critical materials, deviations, equipment whose compatibility with the entire system must be checked, and other items as designated by the specifications. Government approval is required for any deviations from the Solicitation or Accepted Proposal and other items as designated by the Contracting Officer.
