1. First, regarding the ammunition requirement for .22 LR Standard Velocity, 40 Grain, Lead, would a commercially available product meeting these stated specifications be acceptable if the offeror provides the applicable manufacturer/product specifications demonstrating conformity? For the .22 LR Standard Velocity 40 grain ammunition, CCI lists a velocity of 1,070 FPS lead round nose, Velocitor HP Copper Plated Hollow Point 1435 FPS, & Blazer Rimfire Lead round nose 1235 FPS these are just some examples.
2. Second, regarding the stated packaging of 50-round boxes / 500-round bricks, could you please clarify whether the ammunition must be supplied specifically in 500-round brick quantities, or whether the requirement may be fulfilled using 50-round boxes as long as the total quantity of 21,000 rounds is provided? The solicitation notes "Standard Velocity", which we would consider to be anywhere within the industry standard range of 1,070 FPS to 1,135 FPS. Does the acquiring agency require a specific FPS, or would any FPS within this range be acceptable? It would also be helpful to know if the acquiring agency would accept an FPS slightly outside of this range (i.e., 1200 FPS)? For the .22 LR Standard Velocity 40 grain ammunition, CCI lists a velocity of 1,070 FPS lead round nose, Velocitor HP Copper Plated Hollow Point 1435 FPS, & Blazer Rimfire Lead round nose 1235 FPS these are just some examples.
4.
To achieve the best cost result for the acquiring agency, would responsive items that come in boxes of 325 rounds (loose) or 500 rounds (loose) be acceptable, or must the items come in boxes of 50? For inventory and accountability purposes, ammunition must be provided in 50-round boxes. Loose rounds are not acceptable.
5.
In order to achieve the best cost result, would the acquiring agency consider any of the following items to be acceptable:
