Statement of Work – Waste Disposal

Currently there are approximately 20,000,000 .5L water bottles stored at the Former Roosevelt Roads Naval Facility. These water bottles are stacked on wooden pallets. The water has been determined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to no-longer fit for human consumption do to prolonged exposure to the elements and its manufacture (bottling) date.

All water must be removed from these bottles All Plastic bottles must be recycled – they may not be deposited in a solid waste landfill – They may be compacted, ground-up, or any other method approved by the U.S. Environmental Agency, and removed from the facility.

The wooden pallets will also need to be removed. Serviceable pallets may be re-sold for reuse, unserviceable pallets need to be recycled by any means approved by the U.S. Environmental Agency.

None of the waste material (Wood/Plastic) may go to a landfill - All material must be removed from the current site.
