Solicitation #70FB8021R00000041 – Travel Trailers

Questions Received

09/30/2021

1.) “We would like to ask if there may be a storge requirement to house these 500 units for a quick response time.

There is no requirement for the contractor to store any of the travel trailers.

2.) “Is this a best value contract or LPTA?”

LPTA.

3.) “If we have a letter from the manufacturer directly to sell to a federal agency will you waive the dealer requirement?”

Yes

4.) “The overall length for the campers, do these measurements include only the actual camper size or from the bumper to the tongue?”

The box only not including the hitch

5.) “Do Stick and Tin Trailers qualify for this requirement?”

For this requirement Stick and Tin travel trailers are acceptable. FEMA’s preference is for smooth side travel trailers. The Stick and Tin travel trailers need to meet all other requirements, 6.) “Some trailers are 36 feet and 3 inches that meet all the specs; would this qualify for the requirement?”

FEMA will consider travel trailers are this length.

7.) “Does the trailer have to have a slide out?”

If all requirements are met without slide outs FEMA will consider the proposed travel trailers.

8.) “Is it ok if the unit is minimum 25' long and 200 square feet and meets all other requirements but does not have a slide out?”

See above response to question 7

9.) “Do all the brands that we would potentially sell to FEMA as part of this RFP have to be licensed to sell in the state of AL where the units will be delivered to or do we just need to have the dealer license in hand for the dealer that will be potentially selling the units to FEMA?”

The offeror needs to be a licensed dealer in the state that they are located in with the exception of the response to questions 3.
