About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the CBP U.S. Border Patrol Tucson Sector Bottled Drinking Water solicitation (Solicitation Number: 70B03C25Q00000157). The Q&A addresses three key vendor inquiries: full truckload capacity, dock availability, and delivery scheduling. Specifically, CBP clarified that: 1) they will not adjust order quantities to meet full truckload requirements and will only order needed quantities, 2) not all delivery locations have dock access for unloading, and 3) they will not accommodate alternative delivery schedules that do not align with full truckload shipments. These responses provide critical logistical information for potential vendors bidding on the bottled water supply contract for Border Patrol detainee facilities.

Questions and Answers CBP U.S. Border Patrol Tucson Sector Bottled Drinking Water
70B03C25Q00000157 V.1.2
Q10. Full Truckload Capacity: Based on our volume review, it appears the monthly order quantity may not meet a full truckload. Could you confirm whether CBP will be able to accept full truckload shipments or if deliveries must be structured to accommodate smaller volumes?
A10. If the monthly order quantity doesn’t meet a full truckload, we will not be changing the requested amount in order to do so. We will only be ordering quantities needed.
Q11. Dock Availability: Niagara Water’s deliveries are managed using A.I.-operated forklifts, which require a dock for unloading. If CBP’s designated delivery locations do not have dock access, we will need to explore alternative logistics solutions. Can you confirm whether all delivery sites are equipped with docks?
A11. All delivery locations do not have dock for unloading.
Q12. Would CBP be open to alternative delivery schedules if monthly order volumes do not align with a full truckload shipment?
A12. No.
