About this file

This document is a Sole Source Determination form from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for camera installation and deinstallation services. CBP's Detroit Sector intends to negotiate a sole source award with DTE Electric Company for camera systems located on DTE Energy Poles in Southeastern Michigan. The contract has an estimated cost of $48,000, with a performance period from 9/29/2025 to 9/28/2026. The pricing is set at $1,200 per service until 12/31/25, increasing to $1,225 after 1/1/2026, which CBP considers fair and reasonable based on the same rates charged to other federal agencies like the FBI. The sole source justification is based on FAR 6.302-1, indicating DTE is the only responsible source that can satisfy the agency's requirements.
