70B03C24Q00000156 Questions and Answers, #1
Compiled: June 26, 2024
This document provides answers to questions regarding request for quotation (RFQ) 70B03C24Q00000156.
Q1) Could you please elaborate on the 36 keys and access to the facility? From my understanding, each K9 officer and their supervisors would need key access, but not sure if its access to each kennel, or access to the enter and exit of the building.
A1) The requirement for CBP Staff access is explained in paragraphs 2.3, 3.0, 8.0 and 9.0 of the statement of work (SOW) (starting on page 25 of 52). The Access requirement is for CBP Staff to be able to access the facility areas needed to, at any time, drop off or pick up an individual canine.
Q2) How frequently will payments be made for the services provided?
A2) Contractors can submit invoices for the prior month’s services (i.e. November invoice can be submitted the 1st of December) per the clause ELECTRONIC
INVOICING AND PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS - INVOICE PROCESSING PLATFORM
(IPP) (AUG 2022) found on page 20 of 52, of the RFQ.
Q3) How much advance notice will U.S. Customs & Border Protection give before booking kennels?
A3) Due to the non-linear and non-static nature of Law Enforcement operations, the amount of booking notice cannot be fixed or certain. CBP Staff will put great effort into coordinating with your facility regarding the departure or arrival of canines, and otherwise minimize the administrative efforts of all concerned.
