About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for the DHS National Uniform Strategic Sourcing Contract.

The RFI seeks industry feedback to support the development of requirements and the Request for Proposal (RFP) package for the upcoming uniform contract, which is expected to begin in January 2027 and have a total period of performance of 8 years. Key details include a mandatory-use IDIQ contract vehicle, full uniform delivery and website opening 2 weeks after funding is received, security requirements for DHS-branded items, and delivery timeline requirements. The Government is seeking information on the offeror's capabilities, including sourcing, pricing, delivery, inventory planning, new technologies, and data management. Responses are due by September 1, 2024 and should address questions posed in the RFI regarding previous participation, foreseeable issues, and possible cost/benefit changes. The Government intends to use this RFI to identify potential uniform providers and innovative logistics solutions to expand competition.
