About this file
This is an Exhibit B from an Invitation for Bid (IFB #7026) issued by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for the Trail TSI project, which involves pre-commercial thinning of approximately 648 acres of U.S. Forest Service forestland under the Good Neighbor Authority. The document provides comprehensive driving directions and access instructions for 20 distinct timber harvest units located in the Usk, Washington area, with unit numbers including 39, 162, 161, 93, 33, 30, 68, 214, 239, 270, 271, 210, 208, 327, 318, 308, 491, 490, 492, and 415. Access to these units requires navigation from Usk via multiple forest roads including LeClerc Creek Road, Cee Cee Ah Creek Road, Kings Lake Road, and several secondary forest roads, with several units requiring walk-ins ranging from 66 feet to approximately 1,000 feet across terrain or creek crossings.
The document specifies detailed mileage and directional guidance for locating each timber unit, noting specific landmarks such as rock pits and gates along access routes. Several units present additional logistical considerations, including Unit 93 requiring a 300-foot walk-in across Cee Cee Ah Creek, Unit 30 with a 400-foot creek crossing walk-in option, Unit 68 with a 66-foot walk-in, Unit 239 with approximately 1,000-foot uphill walk-in access, and Unit 308 with a 350-foot walk-in along an old road prism. The exhibit appears to be a draft version dated 5-14-2025 and serves as a critical reference document for bidders to understand project site locations, accessibility, and terrain characteristics prior to submitting proposals for this pre-commercial thinning contract.
