About this file

This is a market research survey issued by DLA Troop Support Philadelphia seeking information about fire extinguishers (NSN: 4210-01-583-8143) to determine an acquisition strategy for a planned Definite Quantity Contract. The survey requests vendor feedback on an anticipated procurement quantity of 2,000 units, asking potential suppliers to address questions about commercial availability, material composition, domestic sourcing capabilities, production rates, pricing stability, and quantity break points.

The associated pre-solicitation notice indicates the item has export-controlled technical data subject to ITAR or EAR regulations, requiring vendors to have US/Canada Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification. Approved sources listed include Firetrace Aerospace LLC (CAGE: 3R5K2, P/N 913900) and Oshkosh Defense LLC (CAGE: 75Q65, P/N 3883951). The item has specific packaging requirements under MIL-STD-2073-1E and requires a shelf life of 60 months (non-extendable). Responses should be sent to John Lieb, IST Chief Class IV Lumber/Operational Equipment.
