Provide a basic description of goods/services to be provided:

Robert O’ Toole Coaching and Consulting (ROCOC) provides executive level advisory and consulting services for the purpose of guiding the particular center in their efforts to develop, update, and execute an effective strategic and vision plan and provide leadership development services. The engagement provides for direct hands-on sessions with our

Director and CEO, our center executive leadership, and other institutional key stakeholders.

Why is this purchase needed?

The UNMCCC is a National Cancer Institute designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. This highly meritorious recognition is awarded to only the top 3% cancer centers in the nation. NCI designated centers are required to undergo rigorous federal re-evaluation and re-certification every 5 years. The UNMCCC successfully secured its renewal of its NCI designation in 2026.

A critical component and metric of our designation requires that NCI centers must maintain a comprehensive strategic plan that provides a detailed vision of the Center’s plan to reduce the burden of cancer for residents in our catchment area through research, discoveries, prevention, outreach, and treatment. This strategic plan must detail the processes, improvements, identify new opportunities, and actions needed to successfully achieve the goals articulated in the plan.

This plan must include the identification and advancement of leadership training and skillset development for existing and future leaders.

The UNMCCC would like to engage a strategic planning and executive coach consultant that has extensive and unique experience working with NCI designated cancer centers to develop and maintain their strategic vision and action plans.

A vendor who has extensive experience in guiding NCI center directors and CEOs in developing an effective culture and organizational leadership to bring transformational change to successfully implement its strategic vision.
