About this file
This specifications document outlines equipment requirements for Broward County's Solid Waste and Recycling Services (SWRS) in Florida to procure a GPS-based landfill grading and compaction system. The system is designed to optimize landfill operations by improving airspace utilization, compaction efficiency, grading accuracy, and operational reporting through installation on earthmoving equipment. The system components include a Windows-based machine control box, landfill grading and compaction software, a dual GNSS receiver with integrated tilt sensor and IHF radio, mounting hardware, machine wiring kits, and customizable operator display screens. The system must provide machine guidance to optimize airspace usage, improve compaction efficiency, enable real-time tracking and analysis of compaction and airspace usage, provide accurate slope grading, and deliver real-time compaction visualization using color mapping. Additionally, the system must support operational and performance reporting with configurable schedules, customized KPI checklists, system alerts, technical troubleshooting, and software updates, along with a centralized management platform capable of real-time monitoring across multiple machines and locations.
The pricing for the equipment must be all-encompassing and include shipping and delivery costs. The procurement will result in a Purchase Order that will be used to process invoices for payment approval. Invoices should be submitted to designated SWRS staff for review and approval prior to submission to AccountsPayable@Broward.org. The system must include three-year limited warranties on both the machine control hardware and the GNSS receiver. The specifications do not reference specific response dates, due dates, site visits, bidder meetings, award dates, funding amounts, or contract term length.
