About this file
This document is a 28 CFR Part 67 Certification Regarding Drug-Free Workplace Requirements, which outlines mandatory workplace drug policies for grant recipients. The certification requires grantees to implement comprehensive drug-free workplace protocols, including publishing employee statements prohibiting controlled substance activities, establishing drug awareness programs, and creating mechanisms for reporting and addressing drug-related workplace violations.
The document mandates specific actions for grantees, such as informing employees about drug abuse dangers, providing drug counseling resources, requiring employees to notify employers of criminal drug statute convictions, and taking appropriate personnel actions within specified timeframes. Grantees must make good faith efforts to maintain a drug-free workplace by implementing these requirements, which include notifying relevant agencies about employee drug convictions and potentially taking disciplinary actions or requiring rehabilitation program participation for employees who violate drug policies.
