About this file
This document is a Request for Price Quotations (RFQ) issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Fire Services (DFS) for Biannual Preventative Maintenance and Repairs on Water and Sewer Pumps. The DFS is seeking a qualified and responsible vendor to provide bi-annual preventative maintenance on various water and sewer pumps located at their facility in Stow, MA. The scope of work includes compliance with manufacturer specifications and requires technicians to be certified for work in confined spaces. The RFQ specifies the equipment quantities and types, as well as the required frequency of service visits. Responses are due by 2pm EST on August 19, 2024, and an optional site visit is scheduled for August 12, 2024. The contract period is for Fiscal Year 2025, effective July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
The RFQ outlines pricing requirements, including hourly labor rates for regular and after-hours work, as well as the need for prevailing wage rates on any service calls outside the preventative maintenance contract. This is a small procurement targeted to small businesses participating in the Commonwealth's Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP), but if an adequate pool of SBPP-participating vendors is not received, the DFS will consider bids from non-SBPP businesses. The award will be made to the most responsive and responsible vendor that provides the best overall value to the DFS.
