About this file
This document is Addendum No. 2 to RFP No. 25-0096-3 issued by the Chatham County Purchasing & Contracting Department for an Annual Contract for Worker's Compensation Third Party Administrator (TPA) Services. The addendum provides clarifying responses to ten questions from potential bidders, with a proposal due date of 5:00 PM on August 26, 2025. Key details include the current claims volume of 34 Medical Only and 62 Lost Time claims, confirmation of 3 full-access and 4 view-only RMIS users, and 48 payments processed between August 5-13, 2025.
The addendum reveals that the incumbent TPA does not have dedicated staff solely for Chatham County, and the county uses a traditional panel of physicians rather than a Managed Care Organization (MCO). Bill review is managed by the TPA using Guardian Bill Review, and pharmacy bills are also managed by the TPA. The county's workflow allows adjusters to process normal day-to-day authorizations, with additional expenses like surveillance or vocational training requiring county approval. The county has indicated that all firms will be considered equally based on their RFP response, with scoring criteria detailed in Section 4 of the original RFP.
