About this file
This is a specification sheet for Solicitation No. P-2095793 issued by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) to procure replacement artwork panels for the Deep Ellum Rail Station. The project involves the production and delivery of 36 art panels measuring 47.5 inches by 82 inches, constructed from Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) with printed artwork applied via 3M Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and protected by an anti-graffiti film overlay. The panels are designed to replace worn and weathered original artwork at the station, with pre-drilled holes to match existing bolt locations for installation by DART mechanics. The winning bidder will receive the original artwork in Photoshop format via thumb drive. All materials and workmanship are warranted for three years against peeling, fading, and cracking. The finished product shall be delivered to DART's location at 3021 Oak Lane, Dallas, Texas 75226, with Peter Dickenscheid designated as the contact for delivery coordination.
Packaging requirements specify that all 36 panels must be packaged according to industry best practices to prevent damage during shipment, with containers designed in modular fashion to fit standard pallet sizes without overhang. Packaging exteriors must include panel descriptions, location designations, and manufacturer identification, with packing slips containing the DART purchase order number and part specifications. Strapping shall be vertically aligned with proper tension settings to ensure load containment. DART reserves the right to inspect the finished product prior to final acceptance. The project is not federally funded, indicating local funding sources support this initiative to restore the Deep Ellum Station to its original design aesthetic.
