About this file

This is Amendment 0001 to a federal solicitation for cafeteria services at the FAA ZDV ARTCC facility in Longmont, Colorado. The amendment incorporates a site visit sign-in sheet and a comprehensive questions-and-answers document without making any changes to the underlying terms and conditions of the solicitation. The contract ID is 697DCK-26-R-00363, with an effective date of September 1, 2026, and a period of performance from December 1, 2026 to November 30, 2031.

The Q&A document addresses 61 operational questions regarding cafeteria management at the facility. Key service parameters include operating hours from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, serving approximately 200 onsite personnel daily from a total facility population of approximately 450 FAA employees and contractors. The contractor is responsible for providing and maintaining its own POS system and credit/debit card processing, as the FAA will not provide internet access. The FAA furnishes permanently installed kitchen equipment and is responsible for its maintenance and repair; however, small wares and additional equipment may be contractor-provided subject to Contracting Officer approval. The contractor must maintain sanitary conditions, may offer outside catering services using FAA facilities provided core cafeteria operations are not disrupted, and may install after-hours vending or grab-and-go equipment. Menu changes and daily specials do not require approval, but permanent operating hour adjustments require written modification by the Contracting Officer. Delivery personnel must coordinate with facility security, and all contractor employees must complete security clearance and badging processes, which typically take 30-60 days. The site visit occurred on September 15, 2026, with representatives from multiple catering companies in attendance.

- Yes, this information will be given during the kickoff meeting.

35. Approximately how long does the approval and badging process normally take for a new employee?

- Per page 5, #13 Outside Catering in the SOW:

The Contractor must prioritize service to Denver ARTCC personnel and visitors over any outside business interests.”
