(covered by SOW) The contractor shall mill or saw cut, remove and replace the existing asphalt access road (Davis Rd.) down to the base. It encompasses the area that includes the asphalt access drive from Davis Road to the facility’s entrance drive. It is an approximate 2,000-foot section of the Davis Road from the beginning of the secondary access road from the QGV ARSR radar site to the intersection of Marquesa Way (refer to Figures 1 to 5). For supplemental construction information or requirements refer to attached aerial photographs, and drawings, along with the associated construction details and notes related to the work to be performed. The new asphalt to be installed shall be a minimum 4” thick (compacted) contractor shall field verify conditions, dimension and quantities. The existing conditions or asphalt thickness may require the contractor to excavate some base material in order to ensure final elevation matches the existing ground surface and ensure minimum 2% slope.
Do the Superintendent, SSHO and QC Manager need to be 3 separate individuals?
No, can be the same person
Can the period of performance be extended after award once the material/equipment lead times are confirmed due to current market conditions for the equipment for this project?
Technically Yes. However, the Period of Performance will start when the contractor receives a Notice to Proceed not at contract award.
