Section Para

Question and Answer

Question: Can the telescoping tower be pneumatic made out of aluminum?

Answer: No

Question: If yes, on question above will a compressor be needed?

Answer: N/A

Question: What is this tower being attached/mounted to?

Answer: Concrete Floor Foundation

Question: If vehicle mounted is preferred, does the end-user intend to have the mast in the extended position while on the move?

Answer: N/A

Question: Is there a certain retracted height for this project?

Answer: 13.5’

Question: Will the company supplying the tower need to install the tower or just shipping and unloading?

Answer: Just shipping and unloading

Question: In the specifications you state “Have the ability to unload crate and ship to…” what is the meant by this?

Answer: This is a remote location, no equipment available on site to unload, therefore the supplier of the tower must ship and unload from the truck. The shipping address is:

2786 Wilde Rd.

Industry, TX, 78944 29°57'22" N 96°33'44" W

Question: Is there any restriction on the nested height I need to be aware of?

Answer: Caution, VOR facility onsite must not go above antenna base, within the proximity limitations of the dome. 15 ft. high and a circumference 50 ft. from the fence line. Tilt down poles interfere when they get serviced. We have 1 ft. of space outside the fence line and then we would be in the land owner’s property. Which is why we are using a telescoping tower with the parameters we specified.

Question: Assuming all 3 antennas are the same what is the antenna weight?

Answer: 45 lbs. for everything

Question: Assuming all 3 antennas are the same what is the sail area of the antenna?

Answer: 4 ft. per antenna

Question: Will the intended payload be off set from the center line of the mast, if so by how much?

Answer: Yes by 3 ft.

Question: Do you intend to have the payloads pan & tilt while extended?

Question: Is there any tip deflection requirement at the top of the mast? (antennas can’t deflect more than "x" degrees in any direction)

Question: Is there any wind requirement that we need to be aware of? (e.g., “the intended payload under 30mph wind gusts can’t sway more than 10 degrees..)

Answer: 120 MPH as per building code

Question: Can you allow the mast to be guyed?

Question: Do you have a preference as to how the mast is operated? (Electromechanical, pneumatic, manual, etc...)

Answer: Manual System

Question: What power, if any, is available at the intended site you want to use the mast at?

Answer: None

Question: What are the weights and dimensions of the cameras/Antennas to be placed on the tower?

Answer: Antennas to be placed on the tower-45 lbs.

Question: Do you need a particular mounting for the cameras/Antennas such as a flat plate, tubular arms, something else?

Answer: we need a 2.75” pipe on the antenna arm that will hold the antenna.
