The existing truss clips have corroded to the extent that the roof truss attachments must be retrofitted for hurricane force winds, compliant with the ASCE/SEI 7-16 design criteria.

The roof area to be removed and replaced is limited to TUT ADM roof and eave overhang of approximately 6900 ft2. The roof plywood area to be removed and replaced is limited to that which is necessary to access the exterior wall top plate in order to install the new hurricane ties.

The perimeter of the building fascia and rain gutter measures 414 lf.

Roofing material is standing seam metal to match existing.

Remove and replace all wood posts below the roof eave. Secure wood post at top and bottom using Simpson APV44 or equal. Upon completion of hardware and blocking installation, install new wood sheathing flush with the existing sheathing and new fascia board to match the original.
