NHTSA Mission, OAM Acquisition Goals

NHTSA Mission – The mission of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is to reduce the number of injuries and deaths, as well as the economic loss due to motor vehicle crashes on our nation’s roads.

Acquisition Goals- The Office of Acquisition Management (OAM) supports NHTSA’s mission by providing contracting services to fulfill the programmatic and administrative needs of the Agency. OAM performs contracting activities in compliance with applicable regulations (Federal Acquisition Regulation, Transportation Acquisition Regulation), laws, statutes, and policies while implementing Federal acquisition best practices and socioeconomic objectives.

Acquisition History for NHTSA’s Communications Program Despite the complex nature and high-dollar value for this program NHTSA has historically supported it’s small business goals achievement by soliciting for National Communications, Marketing, and Media Support through a small business set-aside.
