About this file
This is Amendment 4 to solicitation 693JF725R000001 for a Maritime Administration (MARAD) study on future fleet and energy options for the East Coast of the United States. The amendment contains a single question and answer clarifying that MARAD's definition of "East Coast" for this solicitation does not include the Gulf of Mexico.
The underlying solicitation is for a 15-month study with maximum funding of $350,000 to examine fleet activities, port profiles, and future energy needs along the U.S. East Coast. The study requires analysis of U.S. Flag and commercial vessel operations, port infrastructure capabilities, and 10-year historical activity patterns to create 10 and 20-year forecasts for future fleet energy requirements. Proposals are limited to 12 pages and must be submitted within 30 days of publication to Christian.onwudiegwu@dot.gov and k.mitchell-carroll@dot.gov. Eligible entities include private organizations, state/local governments, Indian Tribes, higher education institutions, and partnerships between these groups.
