For the asphalt mix design under 401.01 it states that type 1 antistrip may be used in lieu of type 3 if approved by the state department (it is in Idaho), but the blend rate for type 3 is 1%, would it be the same for type 1? Generally in this state we use .5% for Idaho state requirements. And moving to 1% would make for major mix design problems.
The 1% blend rate only applies to The type 3 antistrip. The blend rate for Type 1 antistrip is determined by meeting the requirements under Subsection 401.03.

3 X For Section 401 work, if type 1 antistrip is used, what happens the to bid item A0380? Will it be eliminated per 401.18 on page f‐15?
See Subsections 401.18 and 109.05 and bid accordingly.

Also for Section 401 work, would a currently accepted ITD Superpave mix design using 58‐28 be acceptable? ITD also allows recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) into the mix design, would this be allowable in this project, and if so, what amount?
For Bid Item 40101‐5600, comply with the requirements of Section 401 which also contains the RAP requirements under Subsection 401.03(a).

What are the specifications for roadway obliteration, method 2? Is it just the removal of the roadway and aggregate? Are items like topsoil and excavation incidental?
See FP‐14 Section 211. 2/16/2021
