About this file

This document is an addendum to a Request for Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for continuing construction management (CM) at risk services in Region Two. The addendum provides answers to questions received regarding the SOQ, including information on how projects will be distributed to awarded CMs based on the magnitude and scope of work, the requirement for respondents to have an office located in the region they propose to provide services, and an update to the general liability insurance coverage requirements. The contract opportunity is for services in the state of Florida, specifically within Leon County.

The addendum also clarifies that respondents should list their proposed office location within Attachment B, and that the Department will contact respondents directly if additional information is required to verify this information. The contract term and any renewal options are not explicitly stated in the provided documents.

ADDENDUM ONE

TO: Vendors Addressed

FROM: Michelle O. Faircloth

RE: SOQ DOA 24 25 65

This addendum is to provide answers to questions received in reference to this request for Statement of Qualifications (SOQ).

Question / Answer

1. Does The Department know how it anticipates distributing the future work amongst the up to

8 awarded CMs per region? I'm curious if it might be based on proximity to the CM's office, the magnitude of the project, or other criteria.

I only ask because our current operations range from Duval County down to Lee County, roughly, so we have a presence in both regions, but in the past, we haven't covered the full geographical range or either region. Our corporate office is in Alachua County, and we have a satellite office in Lake County, both relatively close to the border between Regions.

Answer: Projects will be distributed to Construction Manager’s in Region II regarding the magnitude and scope of work for the project and/or other criteria.

As stated in SECTION 1. INTRODUCTORY SECTION / B. REQUIREMENTS:

For a respondent to be considered for a continuing contract award for Region Two, the respondent must have an office located in the region which it proposes to provide services.

2. The solicitation above mentions the following (and same for Region 1):

B. REQUIREMENTS

For a respondent to be considered for a continuing contract award for Region Two, the respondent must have an office located in the region which it proposes to provide services.

Can this section be waived? or an exception made?

Answer: As stated in SECTION 1. INTRODUCTORY SECTION / B. REQUIREMENTS:

For a respondent to be considered for a continuing contract award for Region Two, the respondent must have an office located in the region which it proposes to provide services.

3. Regarding insurance requirements, Section 13.2 of the contract states “Contractor’s

Comprehensive General Liability, Coverages: Bodily Injury & Property Damage $2,000,000 Each Occurrence or Accident; $4,000,000 Aggregate.” Other state contracts have a lower value for each occurrence and aggregate. Is there a possibility of lowering this requirement?

Answer: Yes, the specifications and subsequent agreement is updated to reflect

Contractor’s Comprehensive General Liability Coverages:

Bodily Injury & Property Damage

$1,000,000 Each Occurrence or Accident $2,000,000 Aggregate

4. What documentation is required for the submission to demonstrate that we have an office in

Region 2? In Attachment B, we are listing our office address, but I am wondering what other documentation may be need in the submission or post submission if awarded. Please advise.

Answer: Respondent should list their proposed office location within Attachment B.

This information should be verifiable through public resources. The Department will contact the respondent directly if additional information is required.

This Addendum is hereby incorporated into and made a part of the above noted SOQ All other terms, conditions and specifications of this SOQ will remain the same. For questions regarding this Addendum, please contact the Purchasing Office at Bids@FDACS.gov.
