SYSTEMS FURNITURE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
This specification establishes the minimum requirements for the acquisition and installation of the complete and usable system of workstations composed of panels, supporting components, electrical hardware, communication and data cable routing, special electrical features, and accessories. Workstation requirements and configurations shall be in accordance with the furniture layout and typical workstation types shown in drawings and specified herein. If dimension variations are not mentioned after the called-out dimension within this specification, nominal dimensions are acceptable. Components and hardware shall be provided by a single manufacturer and shall be a standard product as shown in the most recently published price lists or amendments. Vender shall submit a single product solution for the workstations.
Workstations comprised of components from different product lines from the same manufacturer will not be accepted.

2 Panel thickness including the fabric outer surface shall be between 3”-3.5”. The panel shall be a moveable-segmented panel, which can fasten within 1-inch increments.
3 Stack ability: Each panel shall have the ability to accept additional multiple load bearing stack units up to two stack units without replacing the base panel (s) or having to counterbalance the panel.
4 Each panel shall have the ability to route utilities within the stack unit.
5 Care shall be taken to avoid blocking existing windows with panels. Panels shall not be used against walls unless required to support the system or avoid architectural elements.
6 Horizontal panel frame elements shall assemble vertical elements without tools or fasteners. Base raceways shall be provided with every panel. The base raceway must be 3 3/4” to 6” high. Magnet held base covers will not be accepted. The raceway cover can be constructed of steel or high impact resistant color impregnated PVC. Top caps shall be powder-coated roll formed with metal. Cables shall be capable of being accessed behind the removable tiles without removing work surfaces. The base raceway shall allow laying in cabling as required and shall include any cable management accessories to do so. Each stack on panel segment shall have the ability to route utilities within the stack unit.
7 Panels shall have vertical wire pathways that allow cables to be routed internally from the top way to either beltline or base cavity without external cable managers.
8 Leveling glides shall adjust up to 2” to provide uniform height assurance for adjacent units on uneven floors, and the capability of easily relocating an entire run of panels by sliding over the floor without disassembly of panels and hanging components, like work surfaces and storage.
9 Panels shall meet or exceed ANSI/BIFMA requirements for mechanical strength.

All pads/skins 48 inches above the floor shall be structurally engineered so that when overhead components are added to the panel the pad/skins are not crushed.
4 Face tiles shall be non-progressive; any skin in the panel configuration can be removed without disrupting any of the other skins and shall be removable and repositionable in the field.
5 The panel’s fabric shall be field replaceable, so that the entire panel does not have to be replaced.
Electrical Vender shall provide an 8-wire, 4 circuit electrical system. Electrical entry into the workstations will be by base entry feeds. Electrical is provided on the walls at J-boxes. Electrical raceways are to be available at the base and shall match widths of available panels. The base cavity shall be able to provide duplex receptacles and data ports access at base height. Each workstation has 4 duplex outlets.

4 An integral cable management system shall be available to empower the user to manage cables, vertically every sixteen inches and within the cavity at all levels, if so desired. The base raceway shall allow lay in cabling and as required. System manufacturer shall include any cable management accessories as required.
5 Lay-in Cable Management: Cables and electrical must be routed from one panel to another by means of a lay in installation at both panel-to-panel connections and corner conditions.
6 Data jacks to be at the under-surface level.
7 NIPR outlet shall be on separate Panel than SIPR and JWICS outlets.
8 Label data outlets to match the outlet connection.
