About this file
This document is a Salient Characteristics specification (JML Doc # 6211-1600) establishing the essential physical, functional, and performance requirements for the procurement of a portable Close Quarters Battle (CQB) modular training facility, specifically the Trango Pro Kit + (Model PRO +) or equivalent. The training system must be a fully modular, highly portable shoot house facility enabling rapid deployment and tool-free configuration to support both live-fire and simulation ammunition training in multiple complex room layouts.
The system must feature wall panels constructed from a patented, durable, lightweight composite material (Panel-O-Foam™ or equivalent) that safely accommodates live ammunition (allowing bullets to pass straight through without splintering or ricochet hazards) while stopping training simulation rounds and remaining easily cleanable. Individual components must be weather-resistant and withstand extreme temperatures, moisture, and prolonged UV radiation. The system requires "Lego-like" interlocking architecture with integrated side T-slots and proprietary locking keys (Trango T-Keys or equivalent) enabling single-operator assembly without tools. Component specifications include Wall 200 panels (3'3" × 6'6" × 6", maximum 27 lbs), Window 200 panels (identical dimensions with removable covers, maximum 27 lbs), and Door panels (identical dimensions, maximum 36 lbs). The Model PRO + configuration must include a minimum equivalent to 20x Package 200 kits and 10x Door Packages, comprising 120 wall panels, 20 window panels, 20 window covers, 10 door panels, 20 Beam 100s, 10 Beam 200s, plus 30 spider connectors, 30 corner connectors, 60 J-hooks, 180 klamras, and 90 patches. The system supports approximately 5,167 sq. ft. total footprint (2,583 sq. ft. active training area) with minimum 558 linear feet of wall coverage and approximately 5,610 lbs total weight, requiring 10–12 hours for initial setup with 6–8 personnel and 2–4 hours for reconfiguration. Delivery must occur within 30–90 days after receipt of order from a domestic warehouse. The product must be Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliant and include a minimum 6-month limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.

JML Doc # 6211 - 1600
Salient Characteristics: Modular
Shoot House (Trango Systems - Pro
Kit +) This document establishes the essential physical, functional, and performance characteristics required for the procurement of a portable Close Quarters Battle
(CQB) modular training facility, specifically configured as the Trango Pro Kit +
(Model PRO +) or equivalent
1. Scope & System Overview The training system must be a fully modular, highly portable Close Quarters Battle
(CQB) shoot house facility. It must enable rapid deployment, tool-free configuration, and safe physical training environments utilizing both live-fire and simulation ammunition. The design must support multiple complex room layouts to facilitate diverse tactical scenarios.
2. Key Performance & Material Specifications
• Ammunition & Safety Compatibility:
• Live-Fire: Must safely accommodate live ammunition (bullets must pass straight through without splintering or causing ricochet hazards).
• Simulation Rounds: Must stop training simulation ammunition (e.g., paint rounds, marking cartridges) and be easily cleaned.
• Core Material: Wall panels must be constructed from a patented, durable, lightweight composite material (Panel-O-Foam™ or equivalent) that ensures structural integrity while allowing for rapid manual manipulation.
• Environmental Durability: Must be weather-resistant and rated to withstand extreme temperatures, moisture (rain/snow), and prolonged UV radiation without degrading.
• Modularity & Reconfiguration: Must feature a "Lego-like" interlocking architecture allowing configuration adjustments in minutes without requiring specialized machinery, ladders, or power tools.
3. Component Dimensions & Weights Individual components must meet the following technical criteria to ensure single-operator handling:
• Wall Panel (Wall 200):
• Dimensions: 3' 3" Width × 6' 6" Height × 6" Thickness (1m × 2m × 15cm)
• Weight: Maximum 27 lbs (12 kg) per panel
• Finish Options: Available in Flat Gray or Brick Print textures
• Window Panel (Window 200):
• Dimensions: 3' 3" Width × 6' 6" Height × 6" Thickness (1m × 2m × 15cm)
• Weight: Maximum 27 lbs (12 kg) per panel
• Requirement: Must include a removable/insertable window cover
• Door Panel:
• Dimensions: 3' 3" Width × 6' 6" Height × 6" Thickness (1m × 2m × 15cm)
• Weight: Maximum 36 lbs (16.3 kg) per panel
• Functionality: Universal hanging supporting right/left entry and inner/outer door swing configurations
4. Assembly & Connection Mechanism
• Tool-Free Assembly: Connections between panels must not require screwdrivers, wrenches, or hammers.
• Locking System: Panels must secure to each other using integrated side T-slots
(6 per side) and proprietary locking keys (Trango T-Keys or equivalent) requiring only a simple quarter-turn to lock.
• Handling Capability: All individual components must be manageable by a single operator without hoisting equipment.
5. Specific Configuration Specifications: Model
PRO + (Trango Pro Kit +) The system delivered must include the following minimum layout capabilities and quantities, equivalent to a combination of 20x Package 200 kits and 10x Door
Packages:
A. Overall Footprint Capabilities
• Total System Footprint Area: Approximately ~5,167 sq. ft. (480 m²)
• Active Training Built Area: Approximately ~2,583 sq. ft. (240 m²)
• Total Linear Run: Minimum 558 ft (170 m) of wall coverage
• Total Structure Weight: Approximately 5,610 lbs (2,550 kg)
B. Bill of Materials (BOM) - Required Quantities
To ensure the correct structural capability, the kit must include the following components:
Item Component Category Quantity Required
Wall 200 Panels Main Items 120
Window Panels Main Items 20
Window Covers Main Items 20
Door Panels (200 Door) Main Items 10
Beam 100 Main Items 20
Beam 200 Main Items 10
Spider Connectors Supporting/Stability 30
Corner Connectors Supporting/Stability 30
J-Hooks Supporting/Stability 60
Klamras Supporting/Stability 180
Patches Supporting/Stability 90
C. Deployment Parameters
• Initial Setup Time: 10–12 hours utilizing a crew of 6–8 personnel.
• Reconfiguration Time: 2–4 hours for a complete structural layout redesign.
6. Logistics, Compliance & Support
• Trade Agreements Act (TAA) Compliance: Product must be TAA Compliant
• Berry Amendment Compliance: Not applicable due to material composition.
• Shipping & Origin: Items must ship from a domestic warehouse to minimize transit times.
• Delivery Timeline: Delivery lead time must be between 30–90 days After
Receipt of Order (ARO).
• Warranty: Must include a minimum 6-month limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship from the date of delivery.
