About this file

This is a minimum insurance requirements document for Broward County's Parks and Recreation Division regarding the purchase and delivery of molded fiberglass grating. The document specifies that no proof of insurance is required if delivery will be made by common carrier, indicating this is likely a straightforward procurement rather than an installation project. The certificate holder is Broward County, located at 115 South Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301, with oversight by the Risk Management Division.

The insurance requirements establish minimum liability limits of $500,000 for both occurrence and aggregate coverage under general liability insurance, including commercial general liability, premises-operations, products/completed operations hazard, and contractual insurance. Auto liability coverage requires $500,000 in combined bodily injury and property damage coverage, though this may be waived if no driving is required for service performance. Additional requirements include statutory limits for worker's compensation, $100,000 for employer's liability per accident, and various professional liability coverages with specified deductibles ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. The document mandates that Broward County be named as additional insured, requires primary coverage from the contractor's insurance without contribution from the County, includes waiver of subrogation in favor of Broward County, and stipulates that claims-made policies must be maintained with evidence provided for at least three years after contract completion.
