Steel roof and wall decking (Sections 053100, 074113.13, 074213.13) requires galvanized and shop-primed steel sheets per ASTM A653/A653M with two-coat fluoropolymer finishes, matching existing panel profiles and colors. Building insulation (Section 072116) specifies the OptiLiner Banded Liner System by Owens Corning with R-30 values for both roof and wall systems, continuous vapor barriers, and banded metal straps with fasteners. Roof specialties (Section 077100) include copings and flashings rated for FM Approvals Class 1-90 windstorm classification and tested per SPRI ES-1. Joint sealants (Section 079200) include neutral-curing silicone for exterior joints and acrylic latex for interior applications, both complying with ASTM C920. Exterior painting (Section 099113) specifies MPI-compliant systems with alkyd primers and topcoats for steel substrates. Earthwork (Section 312000) requires satisfactory soil materials per ASTM D2487 or AASHTO M145, compaction to 95 percent maximum dry unit weight per ASTM D1557 for structural areas, and drainage courses with geotextile separation layers. All work requires preinstallation conferences, comprehensive shop drawings, material test reports from qualified agencies, and field quality control testing and inspections throughout construction.
