About this file
This document is a certification file for Louisville Metro Government involving two key certifications: one for lobbying activities and another for telecommunications services. The certification pertains to a contract opportunity for the Louisville Metro Land Development Code Update, which seeks qualified consultants to assist in a comprehensive revision of the city's land development regulations. The document requires contractors to affirm that no federal appropriated funds have been used to influence government officials in the contract awarding process, and mandates disclosure of any alternative funding sources used for lobbying activities.
The certification also includes a critical requirement regarding telecommunications services, whereby the contractor must confirm that no prohibited telecommunications services, equipment, or systems are being provided under the contract. The document outlines potential penalties for non-compliance, including civil penalties ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 for failing to file required certifications. If a contractor later discovers they have supplied prohibited telecommunications services, they are obligated to immediately inform Louisville Metro Government, which may treat such an occurrence as a contract default and require the contractor to replace the services at their own expense.
