DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

UNITED STATES COAST GUARD

CG AIRSTATION BARBERS POINT

KAPOLEI, HAWAII 96706

SCOPE OF WORK

FOR

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION OF DEHUMIDIFIERS

SCOPE OF WORK: Purchase electrical material list to install electrical power to Dehumidifiers (existing and future) for the C130J aircrafts. The dehumidifiers units controls the humidity levels inside the aircraft particularly the cockpit with sensitive electronic equipment.

Work will be done at the 400 hz shed and at the 400 hz islands (South and North) The specific work involved is converting the existing cable reel circuits from 208 volts to 480 volts for the dehumidifiers. This is a cheaper and easier method to get 480 volts to the dehumidifiers versus pulling in new electrical cables.

This is a “Self Help” project by the Unit. ISO workorder for additional support will be included.

Materials lists includes:

1. Circuit Breakers for 480 volts panel

2. Conduits (EMT, Flex and PVC), Connectors, cables

3. Junction boxes

4. Fused disconnect safety switches

5. Step down transformers

Existing 400 Hz Shed. Electrical Panels located inside. New Circuit breakers for 480 volts circuits using the existing 208 volts feeder for the cable reels at the South and North Islands.

Existing 400 hz cable reels at South Island. North Island is similar except only one reel. (This is an older photo. Cable reels are still existing but the Unitron 400 hz converters (white) in the background has been replaced with upgraded FCX units)
