About this file
The document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Connecticut Department of Correction (CTDOC) to gauge interest from higher educational institutions in developing clinical/medical educational training experience programs for correctional healthcare. The RFI is seeking information on the types of clinical rotations offered, interest in participating in a practical training program at correctional institutions as part of a medical residency program, and interest in entering into a collaboration between academic medical centers and correctional institutions to foster a clinical workforce pipeline serving socioeconomically disadvantaged, vulnerable patient populations. The RFI has a response period from December 1, 2022 to December 30, 2022.
The RFI does not specify any pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements or sources. It is an information gathering exercise to determine the interest and capabilities of higher educational institutions in providing clinical/medical training experiences for correctional healthcare.
