About this file
The document is a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Program Management LAP Certification of Current Capacity form, designed for pre-qualified contractors bidding on FDOT projects. This two-page form requires contractors to certify their current contracting capacity by detailing their existing uncompleted work and ensuring that any new bid does not exceed their maximum capacity rating. The form includes specific instructions for reporting contract status, such as reflecting uncompleted work as of the 15th day of the month preceding the letting date and including all new contracts awarded within five days of the bidding date.
The form provides a detailed "Status of Contracts on Hand" worksheet where contractors must comprehensively list all current projects, including both prime and subcontracts, with columns for total contract amounts, amounts sublet to others, balance of contract, and uncompleted work to be performed as a prime or subcontractor. The form allows contractors to consolidate smaller contracts (individually less than 3% of total and collectively less than 20%) to simplify reporting. While the specific example document shows zero values, the form is designed to help FDOT evaluate a contractor's current workload and capacity to take on additional projects, ensuring contractors do not overextend their resources.
