About this file

This is Addendum #01 to Bid #52-IFB-1343960933-SCP issued by the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction's Purchasing & Logistics division for corrugated boxes (commodity code 241131). The bid opening is scheduled for December 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM ET, with Carolyn Stephenson serving as the purchaser.

The addendum addresses a single vendor question regarding CAD drawings and tooling specifications. The state clarifies that while NC DAC owns and will provide the cutting die to the awarded vendor, they do not have a CAD drawing for the cutting die itself. However, the CAD drawing for box construction is included in the bid document and will be provided to the awarded vendor. The addendum specifies that return acknowledgment is not required.

QUESTIONS ANSWERS

If there is an existing tooling then there should be a workable file that was made to build this tooling, whether it be artios cad, DXF or an art file EPS cad. The tooling company that built it would have had to have a drawing. If awarded, can we get that cad drawing, so we match the tooling? If we were building our own tooling, we can make it, however if we are using existing tooling we need your cad.

As noted in Section 5.1 SPECIFICATIONS, the cutting die is owned and provided by NC DAC.

Manufacturer and sizing is provided in specifications. NC DAC does not have a CAD drawing for the cutting die. It is expected that awarded Vendor will use the cutting die as provided by DAC. The CAD drawing for construction is provided in the bid document and will be forwarded to the awarded vendor.

IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO RETURN THIS ADDENDUM
