About this file
This document is a Declaration of Intent to Procure via Sole Source procurement issued by Chaves County, New Mexico's Purchasing Department for the AMPED Alternative Education Program. The procurement seeks to establish a day reporting center serving youth suspended from school for 3 to 10 days or on long-term suspension, with the goal of helping students obtain, maintain, or complete academic credits while not in traditional school settings. The sole source procurement is for Chaves County CASA, with a contract value of $54,000+ per year, and interested parties have until June 14, 2025, to submit written protests to the procurement.
The funding for this program originates from a continuum grant awarded by the New Mexico Children Youth and Families Department under the Juvenile Continuum Act for the Juvenile Offender Program. The primary objective is to reduce recidivism and divert youth from further involvement in the juvenile justice system through early intervention and assessment. The procurement will be managed by Purchasing Director Analicia Nieto, who can be contacted at 575-624-6615 or ana.nieto@chavescounty.gov for any inquiries or protests related to the sole source procurement.
