About this file

This is a bid addendum issued by the North Carolina Community Colleges System (NCCCS) for Invitation for Bids 50-2526013 addressing specialized medical equipment and supplies across eleven product categories. The solicitation permits vendors to bid on one, multiple, or all categories including Portable X-Ray Machines, Cardiology Equipment, Sonography Machines, Medication Management Systems, Fully Segmented Real Human 3D Convertible Anatomy, Autoclave Service and Preventive Maintenance, Dental Equipment, Neurodiagnostic Equipment, Physical Therapy Equipment, Respiratory Equipment, and X-Ray Equipment. The initial contract term extends from the date of award through February 4, 2029, with options to renew for four additional one-year periods. Written questions were due August 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time, and sealed bids are due September 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.

The addendum clarifies fourteen vendor questions addressing critical procurement requirements. All equipment must be new, unused, and currently in production, supplied by authorized resellers or distributors with manufacturer authorization documentation. Pricing shall be based on the highest percentage discount off Manufacturer's Standard Retail Price (MSRP) or published manufacturer price listings, with vendors permitted to submit a single percentage discount applicable to all products within a category rather than item-by-item pricing. The NCCCS will accept extended delivery timeframes beyond the standard thirty calendar days when justified by manufacturer lead times, allow installation costs to be quoted separately, consider exceptions to insurance and bid terms and conditions subject to negotiation, recognize electronic signatures as valid, and exempt vendors offering only equipment and supplies without software or cloud components from IT security requirements. The State reserves the right to award contracts to multiple manufacturers per category and intends to make partial awards to more than one vendor of a manufacturer's products within each category using a Best Value Analysis and Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection Method.
