About this file

This is a minimum insurance requirements document for the Purchase and Delivery of Asphalt Transportation Trailer project issued by Broward County's Water and Wastewater Services Agency. The project involves the furnishing and delivery of one Falcon 4-ton trailer or approved equivalent to Broward County Water and Wastewater Operations Fleet Department located in Pompano Beach, Florida. No proof of insurance is required if delivery will be completed by common carrier.

The insurance requirements establish that vendors must obtain General Liability coverage with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, Auto Liability coverage with $1,000,000 combined bodily injury and property damage limits, Workers' Compensation at statutory limits, Employers' Liability coverage with $100,000 per accident limits, and Pollution/Environmental Liability coverage with a maximum deductible of $10,000 per claim. Broward County must be named as an additional insured, with the insured's insurance providing primary coverage without contribution from the County. A 30-day written notice of cancellation and 10-day notice for non-payment cancellation must be provided to the County. For Claims-Made policies, insurance evidence must be maintained for at least three years following contract completion. The U.S. Longshoremen & Harbor Workers' Act and Jones Act requirements apply if activities occur on or about navigable water. Auto Liability may be waived if no driving will be performed during service delivery.
