About this file

This is a minimum insurance requirements document for the Lake Fountain Replacement project at Plantation Heritage Park, issued by Broward County's Parks and Recreation Division in Florida. The document establishes mandatory insurance coverage that contractors must maintain throughout the project execution and completion phases.

Contractors must secure comprehensive general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, inclusive of broad form property damage, contractual liability, and independent contractors coverage. Auto liability insurance with minimum limits of $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage is required if driving will occur during project performance. Additional mandatory coverage includes workers' compensation at statutory limits, employers liability with $500,000 per accident limits, pollution/environmental liability with a maximum $10,000 deductible, and inland marine/builder's risk insurance on an "all risk" basis at completed value with Broward County listed as additional insured and loss payee. The contractor assumes responsibility for all deductible costs. Broward County must receive 30 days' written notice of policy cancellation and 10 days' notice for non-payment cancellations. For claims-made policies, contractors must maintain evidence of insurance for a minimum of three years following contract completion. Insurance must provide primary coverage to Broward County without requiring contribution from the County, and waiver of subrogation applies in favor of the County.
