About this file
This is an insurance requirements document for the Broward County Traffic Engineering Division related to the procurement of Pexco FG300 curbing and delineator posts for a traffic control project at SW 30th & Flamingo in Miramar, Florida. The document specifies comprehensive insurance requirements that must be maintained by contractors performing work on this project. No proof of insurance is required if delivery will be accomplished by common carrier, significantly simplifying compliance for suppliers utilizing standard shipping methods.
The insurance requirements mandate General Liability coverage with minimum limits of $500,000 per occurrence and $500,000 aggregate, including broad form coverage for premises operations, products/completed operations, and contractual liability. Auto Liability coverage with bodily injury limits of $500,000 per person and $500,000 per accident is required if driving will occur during contract performance, though this may be waived if no driving is involved. Workers' Compensation must be maintained at statutory limits with employer's liability of $100,000 per accident. Pollution/environmental liability coverage is required with a maximum deductible of $10,000 per claim. Broward County must be named as an additional insured, the contractor's insurance must provide primary coverage without contribution from the County, and a waiver of subrogation in favor of the County is required. For claims-made policies, insurance must be maintained and evidence provided for at least three years after contract completion.
