About this file
This is a Cost and Information Page for a timber harvesting contract issued by the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) for the Spatula project, which involves 16 units covering 482 acres. The contract must be completed by December 31, 2028, with CSFS considering bidders who can demonstrate the capacity, resources, equipment, and expertise to complete the project expeditiously. The bid document outlines mandatory work activities for cutting and removing included timber across 10 units totaling 388 acres, with specific focus on Ponderosa Pine sawtimber and non-saw timber products.
The bidding structure includes two primary tables: Table A for mandatory work activities with per-acre costs for each unit, and Table B for forest products with minimum bid prices of $0.25 per CCF (hundred cubic feet) for Ponderosa Pine sawtimber and non-saw timber. Additionally, the document provides optional work activities that contractors may elect to perform, subject to funding availability and Contract Administrator approval. These optional activities include cut and slash of non-saw timber, cut/skid/deck and slash operations, and temporary road decommissioning across various units. Bidders are required to complete the document with their company information, proposed project dates, and detailed cost proposals.
