About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to a road repair contract opportunity issued by Gregg County, Texas, with engineering services provided by Hayes Engineering, Inc. The project is identified as Bid #2025-26 Road Repair Cherokee Street (Pct 2) and involves road repair work on Cherokee Street. The work must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from the date stated in the work order, with liquidated damages of $200.00 per day for each consecutive calendar day of delay beyond the completion deadline.
The addendum corrects an error in the original bid proposal page P-1, replacing the incorrect reference to "City of Gilmer" with "Gregg County" for the bid bond requirements. Bidders must provide a certified or cashier's check or bid bond equal to 5% of the greatest amount bid, payable to Gregg County. The successful contractor will be required to furnish Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds for the full contract amount within fifteen days of contract acceptance. The county reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process, with unit prices subject to increase or decrease based on engineering requirements to complete the work as planned.
