About this file

This is an Affirmative Steps compliance document for Letcher County Fiscal Court, which outlines federal contracting requirements under 2 CFR 200.321 for minority businesses, women's business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms. The document applies to the 404 Buyout Demolition RFB - Round 5 project (Reference 25/14). The document does not specify project scope details, quantities, timelines, site visits, bidders' meetings, or contract terms, as it serves primarily as a regulatory notice of compliance obligations rather than a comprehensive project solicitation document.

The affirmative steps outlined require Letcher County and any contractors or subcontractors to place qualified small and minority enterprises on solicitation lists, actively solicit these enterprises when they are potential sources, divide project requirements into smaller tasks when economically feasible to maximize participation, establish delivery schedules that encourage participation, and utilize assistance from organizations such as the Small Business Administration and Minority Business Development Agency. No specific pricing, set-asides, funding amounts, or incumbent information is provided in this compliance document.
