About this file
This document is Appendix D to a solicitation for the Leroux East IRSC (Integrated Restoration and Stewardship Contract) project, containing specified road work details for the Coconino National Forest, Flagstaff Ranger District in Arizona. The appendix provides itemized cost estimation tables and construction specifications for road construction and obliteration work across 14 nodes (NODE 1 through NODE 29, with NODE 12 and NODE 22 excluded from certain work items).
The work comprises two phases: pre-haul activities including embankment construction (20401), 18-inch corrugated steel pipe culvert installation (60201), and post-haul activities including culvert removal and salvage (20302A) and roadway obliteration (21105). Quantities vary by node, with embankment construction ranging from 40 to 90 cubic yards per node, culvert installation ranging from 0 to 60 linear feet, and roadway obliteration specified as 0 to 2 each per node. The document specifies that contractors must submit itemized cost estimates for each node using the provided tables, with all costs consolidated into a single lump sum bid for the solicitation. Construction standards reference FP-24 (Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects) and Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (FSSS), including requirements for embankment compaction methods, culvert bedding and backfill procedures, and drainage feature construction. Payment items are measured in cubic yards (CY), linear feet (LF), and each (EA), with specifications for turn aprons, temporary road construction, and utility crossing details provided in referenced construction drawings.
