About this file

This is an Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Proposals issued by the City of Chandler Police Department for police uniforms and duty gear under Solicitation No. PD5-200-4934, released on June 16, 2025. The addendum addresses frequently asked questions regarding specific line items and clarifications on product specifications, discontinuations, and pricing methodologies. Key clarifications include: items in Sections 1.48-1.54 and 2.14-2.17 that have been discontinued by Flying Cross are to be marked as "No Bid"; All American Boots (Section 5.1) should be officer-customizable with custom orders only; Bayly Standard-Pershing caps (Section 6.1) and Keystone Round Top caps (Section 6.2) should be priced as separate line items with price ranges provided due to cost variations with different front straps, buttons, and insignia; the Damascus Gear heavyweight hood (Section 7.1) has an accepted replacement in the NH100H-B model; Damascus Gear Imperial neoprene pads (Section 7.4) should be listed separately with price ranges; Damascus Gear SpecOps cut resistant gloves (Section 7.10) are to be marked as "No Bid"; rank insignias (Sections 9.1-9.4) typically use Hero's Pride gold bars and stars; heat press embroidery (Section 13.17) and silk screening (Section 13.18) can be performed in-house by vendors with price ranges provided.

The addendum specifies that all other terms and conditions from the original RFP remain in effect, and bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their proposals. The clarifications indicate flexibility in vendor substitutions for discontinued items where replacements exist, customization options for certain gear, and the ability for vendors to perform certain value-added services such as embroidery and screening in-house rather than through specific external contractors. No pricing information, award amounts, or contract term details are provided in this addendum document.
