About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) for the acquisition of a Vehicle Wash Rack System. The Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Command requires a transportable, modular wash rack system that can withstand corrosive environments and support vehicle maintenance operations.

The RFI outlines the government's technical requirements for the system, including dimensions, capacity, pressure, water storage, and other performance specifications. The government is conducting market research to determine if there are capable small business sources that can provide a full solution meeting the minimum requirements. Responses are requested by May 16, 2024 and should include company information, capabilities, relevant experience, and feedback on the draft Statement of Work. No pricing is requested at this time. The government will use the information received to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy, which may involve a small business set-aside or multiple awards.

1.0 STATEMENT OF WORK

1.1 This document provides the description that shall be used to acquire ONE (1) Vehicle Wash Rack System. Naval Special Warfare (NSW) requires a wash rack system that primarily supports continuous garrison vehicle training and equipment operations. Additionally, request a modular design for movement to training locations, forward operating bases and for retrograde of forces following an exercise or theater mobilization. NSW’s operational environment for tactical, expeditionary, and maritime craft include damaging effects from salt, sand, and mud. Due to these corrosive and abrasive influences maintenance is critical to extending equipment service life, increasing equipment reliability, and improving maintenance processes.

Having an equipment wash system will combat the damaging effects of these environmental influences and preserve NSW’s operational superiority.

1.2 The contractor shall verify all measurements prior to ordering materials. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with prevailing industry standards, manufacturer’s written instructions and all applicable codes.

1.3 All work requiring energy shall be done in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 and 1910.333 lock out tag out procedure. All electrical work shall comply with current NEC as well as local codes.
