About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the General Services Administration (GSA) on behalf of the Department of Energy (DOE) for Dining Services at the DOE Forrestal Building in Washington, D.C. The RFI seeks potential contractors to establish and operate food service facilities, including dispensing food, non-alcoholic beverages, and other authorized items.

The contract terms include a 5-year base period with two 5-year option periods, for a total of 15 years. The RFI provides details on the Pre-Bid Conference, proposal due date, and point of contact for questions. It also addresses various aspects of the required services, such as the potential for franchise brands, equipment, operating hours, and building access. The RFI indicates that GSA and DOE are open to a phased, conditions-based approach, and that all government-owned equipment and smallwares will be provided. Specific financial and operational details, such as current sales, staffing, and expenses, are not available in the RFI.
