2800 River Rock Removal 47PK0524R0031, Solicitation Amendment 0001 RFIs, 4/18/2024
Question: Is there a specific landscape filler that is needed for this project?
Answer: We are not familiar with all of the filler options available, so we have not specified the exact filler. We just need the filler to be something small and light weight that will not cause damage if thrown against the windows. Something like lava rock or small pebbles are acceptable. Per the SOW, the filler must be approved before placement.
Question: Will the landscaping company be providing the purchasing items for the landscaping filler as well?
Answer: Yes, the awarded contractor must provide and install the landscape filler, and include the price of that filler and installation in their proposal.
Question: Will electrical and water supply be provided?
Answer: Yes, This can be provided as needed
Question: Can restrooms be used?
Answer: Access to the building can be granted after clearances are completed.
Question: Where will the staging area be located?
Answer: This will be coordinated with building manager once project is awarded
Question: What materials are needed?
Answer: Materials as needed to meet scope requirements?
Question: Where do proposals get submitted?
Answer: Follow solicitation requirements. (I provided yours and my email addresses)
Question: Is this low bid awarded?
Answer: The award will be made to the lowest priced proposal that meets all requirements from a Responsible contractor.
Question: Are you still requiring mandatory attendance to the walk thru to bid on this solicitation?
Answer: Generally, we can't require site walks under the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Many agencies and contracting officer's try to make site walks mandatory, but it's almost never enforceable. So, you are permitted to submit a proposal and I won't exclude you for that reason.
That being said, it is the contractor's responsibility to verify site conditions and clarify any ambiguity before providing a proposal. Contractor's will be held to the contract and any conditions they should have known. Given this contract is for simple landscaping, so I can't imagine there are any latent conditions.
