Text version

1) There is a skid steer with a forklift attachment, just need confirmation that we or facilities staff can use it to pick up and set generator onsite? GSA can not give approval to use equipment. That equipment belongs to the maintenance company and the use of the equipment will need to be made between those two parties.

2) Facilities indicated they wanted the generator to be set on the north-side of the building, but there is no concrete pad there, only sidewalk in front of parking spaces, which would also need bollards. Need exact confirmation on generator location? The generator location will be on the north side of the building, preferably in the far west parking spot. The parking space is an existing concrete pad which can be used as the location for the new generator. The generator will need to be fastened, per manufacturers specifications to the existing concrete parking pad. In the past during major storm events this area can fill up with as much as an inch or two of water, so mounting the unit on lag bolts would be preferred so the unit can be elevated slightly off the concrete pad.

3) Generator needs to be set a minimum of 5' away from all windows and doors, there are windows on the north side of the building, we won't be able to gain proper/code complaint clearances without encroaching on the parking space area. (Need further detail on how to proceed with generator location.) Yes, there is access to the panel on the north side of the building.

4) To gain access to the conduit routing to the basement from the generator, a basement window panel may need removal and patching as seen in attached pictures and would need approval from the facility. Access with conduit will need to be drilled through the foundation of the building and sealed.

5) Are there any drawings/attachments? Under Sam.gov, nothing shows up and the icon just spins indicating that it is downloading, but nothing downloads. There were no drawings attached to the statement of work.
